Been finding a few bits and pieces lately that have been rather interesting to say the least.

It's surprising sometimes what you can find just doing a little quiet surfing around, not for anything in particular, just looking as it were.

One of the things I was looking at lately have been Banner Ads. They actually seem to be showing up again like they did some years ago.

Bit like fashion really. Seems to go in cycles. Ah well, they say everything today goes in cycles and they might be right as I see them beginning to waer "winkle-picker" shoes again too. I thought they went out way back in the early 70's or eighties, but I see lots of people wearing them nowadays as a fashion item. Amazing what we do eh?

Anyway, one of these Banner things I was looking at was like this:

I went ahead and purchased this and I have already set up a partial site with it.
It is very simple to use and because there are videos as well, it makes it doubly easy for those of us who are technically challenged.

Here is the site I have begun with it. It really is point and click for setting up etc, so long as you follow each step and not try to ruin ahead. I tried that and it got me in a real meass till I went back and did it all in the correct order. Now it is coming out right. I am eagerly looking forward to completing the site and seeing how long it takes to earn a good income from it, because being a Pensioner we need those extra dollars. Government isn't very helpful at all in what they allow us to "live" on.

Being able to view the wonderfully clear teaching videos and instructions with this new release from Alex Sysoef and his Partner Dmitriy, has been a truly amazing journey for me during the last few days.

When I went to the site at EWP it was with some trepidation at how well I would be able to understand some of the things he was going to be teaching.

My fears all turned to water with the very first video.
Everything is so simply and easily put together, this is definitely one of those times when I could truthfully say, "My 9 year old Son or Daughter could follow this and it would work for them too."

Well folks, there it is. If you genuinely wish to have a Blog which will bring you those much needed dollars from home, then EWP is the real answer. IT Works! And thats what we have needed.

New evidence of slowing housing market
Are we beginning to see genuine results that our housing market is slowing down? I really believe so. Many homes are staying on the "For Sale" lists for much longer periods now than before.People are commenting that it is very much easier to buy a property now. Basically it looks like you are in the "buyers market" today.I may own one yet!

As a Pensioner for a few years now, I am aware of how our costs rise, but our Pensions don't. Yet we still have commitments to meet same as other folk do. Hence my reason to look online.

WoW! I've been away from here so long I have almost forgotten what to do!

Having spent such a huge amount of time and money on all sorts of ebooks and programs, and this latest thing, and that latest thing, I got so fed up with Internet Marketing, I almost completely walked away from my computer over the last many months.

Everyone seems to be screaming, "buy this, buy that, go here to make your millions online etc, etc, but they don't face up with the complete details as to how.
Consequently, for me, it was a "no-go".

However, every so often I would take a another wander down through my various books etc which I had saved and didn't really have the heart to Delete.

In doing so one day I came across a couple of items which I had of course totally forgotten about.

I read back through them, and thought, Yes, I can do that, I am quite capable of following those steps, so here I am again, and hopefully this time it is working correctly.

Getting things in perspective, finding traffic to my site,FOCUSING properly, and building a list were the things I needed to do.
So my journey on the Internet this time is going to be a whole lot different.

I even have a web site which is being professionally set up for me, my Blog is being brought up to date, I have begun to realize that inside Google pages are many helpful areas for being profitable on web sites.
This site will also have links on keeping our Teens safe while driving.
Places to find excellent resources for Affiliate Marketing, and some other very necessary pieces to bring it altogether to eanr some extra dollars online.

I now have a Photo Album connected to my Blog, for which I am currently adding some family photos, and also places within New Zealand, which is my home Country.

It is a truly beautiful Country, having Mountains to Ski on, rivers to do white-water rafting or fishing or any thing to do with Rivers.

There are hundreds of miles of superb walking tracks, the most beautiful beach areas, for swimming, kayaking, fishing, Surfing, etc.

We have vast areas which are used also for Hang-Gliding, plus Plane Gliding too.
As time permits I shall place photos of these many activities on my Online Album.

I decided to see if Michael's videos live up to their promise by trying them out myself.

Here's what I found:

The first thing I noticed when I opened up the first video was the stunning production quality. He used Camtasia Studio for the production, which is now the industry standard for creating high-quality screen capture video products. The audio is near studio quality, and the graphics are very professional. These videos were made by someone who KNOWS what he's doing. Well done.

I also liked how Michael divided the videos up by section, and then again by sub-section. For example, one video is all about the subject line, and then there are different parts of that video that each cover a certain area of crafting a killer subject line.

VIDEO 1 - INTRODUCTION
This video served as an introduction to the wholecourse. You get to see a picture of Michael in his every day life, and he establishes his credibility right up front by talking about some of his massive successes online. He even provides proof of credibility by displaying two checks in the amount of $50,000 and $25,000 which prove that, when it comes to the subject of making money with email promos, he knows his stuff.
This is a good lesson for anyone to get. Whenever you're teaching people how to do something, it's good to establish your credibility up front, so that there's no doubt about whether or not you're qualified to talk about the subject. Most product developers either skip or minimize this step.

VIDEO 2 - BEFORE YOU WRITE THE PROMO

This video talks about some things that no other marketer has bothered to mention. You'll learn things like:
* The mindset you need in order to write a killerpromo
* The different tools you need before you get started
* How to keep your emails laser-focused
* How to create an outline that practically writes the email for you.
This was a fantastic video, and did a good job of kicking things off.

VIDEO 3 - THE SUBJECT LINE

I liked this video, because it talked about one of MY biggest weaknesses when it comes to writing email promos... the subject line. The subject line is a confusing topic, because nobody's 100% sure what the best tactics are.
Michael breaks it down, and reveals:
* The biggest secret for writing a subject line that makes people insanely curious.
* Techniques for personalizing the subject line.
* Mistakes to avoid when using personalization.
I was surprised to find that I was making some of the mistakes that Michael mentioned in this video, but now I know better.

VIDEO 4 - THE OPENING

This is where a lot of people slack off when writing their emails. Michael talks about how important it is to create an opening that is conversational, and then reveals techniques and examples on how to do that.
He also reveals:
* How to get people to keep reading your email once they've opened it.
* How to make your opening interesting.
* Mistakes to avoid when creating your first few paragraphs.

VIDEO 5 - THE BODY COPY

This is one of the "meatiest" portions of the course, because it reveals techniques that are not widely discussed on the forums, blogs, and in most eBooks. He talks about the importance of keeping your body copy tight and relevant, and then reveals how you can do that. You'll also learn:
* How to write powerful bullets that make people curious and want to find out more.
* Simple formatting tricks for making your body copy easy to read.
* The secret of "bucket brigade copy" and how to use it in your email promos to force people to keep reading.

VIDEO 6 - THE CALL TO ACTION

This is where a lot of people wimp out in their email promos. They start out strong, but when it comes time to ask the reader to click the link and take action, they don't know what to say. Michael talks about some of his favorite techniques for making that happen, and also reveals:
* The "magic question" to ask yourself that will make your close much more powerful.
* The secret of the "unanswered question" and why handling this is a surefire way to get people to act right away.
* The structure of a powerful close.
* Mistakes people make when creating their close.

VIDEO 7 - CREATING AN EFFECTIVE P.S.

Some people say that the P.S. is one of the most important parts of the email, because it is often the one thing that gets people to click the link at the end. In this video, Michael talks about:
* Why you should including a P.S. at the end of your email.
* The 4 different kinds of P.S.'s you can use(this section was a real eye-opener for me).

VIDEO 8 - COMMON MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE

I loved this video, because it showed me some mistakes that I was making that I wasn't even aware of. Unless you're a seasoned pro, you're probably guilty of some of the things that Michael talks about in this video as well, and that's why it's so valuable. I've shaved years off my learning curve, because now I can avoid some of the costly mistakes that I was bound to make in the learning process.

VIDEO 9 - HOW TO CREATE FOLLOW-UP EMAIL PROMOTIONS

This video alone is going to make me a lot of money. Why? Because I used to only send out one email promo for each affiliate promotion I was doing. Michael showed me in this video how important it is to send a follow-up promotion, and he showed me exactly how to do it. He covered things like:

* The psychology of follow-up email promo's.
* The 2 main types of follow-up promos that makethe most money.
* How to overcome readers' objections in yourfollow up emails.
* The 2 most common mistakes people make whenwriting follow-ups and how to avoid them.

VIDEO 10 - HOW TO WRITE BACK END EMAIL PROMOTIONS

Every marketing guru out there says that the REAL money is on the back end. I'd have to agree with them, but the problem is... most people have no idea how to set up a back end system that makes money. This video will teach you how to set up an automated back end that's loaded with killer promos that make you lots of cash on autopilot. He reveals things like:

* The big difference between regular and back end email promos.
* How to prepare a back end promotion sequence.
* Common mistakes people make when creating backend email promos.

VIDEO 11 - CREATING AFFILIATE EMAIL PROMOTIONS

This could be the most important video of the entire package for a lot of people, because most people email their list to promote other people's products as an affiliate. Let's face it, if you only have 3 products, can you really afford to only email your list 3 times a year? They'll get bored hearing about the same old products over and over again. This video sheds some light on how to create killer affiliate promos. Michael reveals things like:

* The two main types of affiliate promos.
* What makes affiliate promos different than regular promos
(and why ignoring this huge secret could cost you big money).

* Michael's favorite tactics for creating affiliate promos that no one else is doing.

As you can see, Email Promos Exposed really packs a lot of punch. Most of the courses out there offer only watered down, weak content. Not this one. These videos are going on my "A-list" for along time.
I've already watched them twice, and plan on reviewing them every couple months to make sure that I have the principals, techniques and tactics burned into my mind.

The "X" Factor in Affiliate Marketing

Seems everywhere we turn in the last few days, we see the "X" link coming up!

So what's it all about?
I decided to do a little investigating and found that it's a "new" way of using your Google Adwords and Adsense programs for monetizing your website or Blogs.

Obviously very powerful. Many records have been broken, so I'm told, and they believe many more will be broken.

Even Clickbank asked them not to publish one part of the report, must be pretty powerful to have Clickbank ask that.

My suggestion would be to get a copy as fast as you can and get started on the information inside. Action is what is needed in this day and age, and more so with something as "heavy selling" as this is!

Affiliate Project X is becoming "the word" to so many right now, you really need to get on board before that "Cream of the Crop" as it were is gone.

Well my 1st attempt to create a blog has been a disaster!!
After spending a good half hour staring at a blank page wondering what to write, I finally got started with a few words, then a few more came, and then it almost seemed the floodgates opened and I was able to actually write and it looked sensible.

Fantastic I thought, so I wanted to see how it would look if it were published, and I noticed a link at the top of the composing page which says, "Preview".
Choice, I thought! I can go see what it's like and come back to finish it off.

Uh-Oh!! How wrong I was.
I made a cardinal mistake!
Forgot to save it first, so consequently lost the whole lot.

So here I am back again trying to re-do what I had before. I started out by saying I really wanted do Affiliate Marketing to make an income from home.
As an "Old Age" Pensioner, who only had home-making Skills, and other bits and pieces but no actual Certificates for anything, you don't get much income once you are no longer in the work force.
For some reason or other, the Employers have the idea that we are "Too Old" for the Job!! My Goodness, what happened to all those years of learning their trades that we did? Did all that learning just go up in smoke because we increased in age? Not sure what happens there. :))

Anyway, it sets your mind to thinking, How can I earn some extra income? What skills do I have now, which I can put to work without having slave in a 9 to 5'er again?
Ah!! I will get a computer and learn how to make a living online!! That's what I will do. Okay, so I spent several years, not months, learning how to operate a computer, and also learning everything I could about making a living online.

Or so I thought!! Big Deal! All I got was bombarded daily with heaps of this and that and everything except the kitchen sink almost! A huge amount of it was really just junk too.

Talk about information overload! I had it in a big way, but not one jot of it got my any closer to my dream of having a home business.

One day I was blessed in being able to purchase and read a wonderful book written by Ros' Gardiner called Super Affiliate Handbook. Ros really detailed exactly how to go about doing Affiliate Marketing. Every detail was fully explained. My only problem was that at the time I still hadn't learned to "focus" on one thing at a time. That part took me almost another full year! I guess you would call me a "slow learner". :))

Finally, it began to sink in to my mind, words that I read in an email one day: If you keep doing what you've always done, you will get what you've always got.
That is so true. So, I went back and read the Handbook from Ros again. now it was beginning to make sense.
Yes, you can make a living from the Internet and a darned good one too. It's a matter of "focusing" on what you want to do, how to do it, and what you need to do, to be able to do it.

Lots of "do's" in there, but that is how I see it.

One of the things I finally grasped was, I didn't have a "list". Everyone kept saying, you must have a list! MY Brain, kept saying quietly, "what for". Then I found out. I didn't know anyone online. I had no one to offer any products I might have. therefore, I would never be able sell anything and thus begin my home based business, earning money at home.

So, the search began in earnest. 1st I had to learn about building lists. Oh dear, how to do it? Okay, who can I ask to teach me? Well, luckily for me I had been receiving a ezine from Matthew Glanfield, and he sent me a wonderful offer of how to make "Squeezepages". I found myself wondering what on earth a Squeezepage was.
Then I discovered it actually has several names. Opt-in site, is one, and catch -all is another. There's a few others out there too. Anyway, now Matthew had my complete attention.

"Focused", at last!
His lessons were really simple too, and he also sent along a superb assistant by name of Jim Musselwhite. Jim made it fit together so easily.
Thank you Matthew and Jim. Matthew also offers a free course on Affiliate Marketing Formula.
Its a super simple, easy to follow course sent out in daily issues, which means each day you are able to do one task at a time. Like eating an Elephant, just one bite at a time, and you will get there.

Now, it is all coming together at last. I can honestly say, I know now that making an income online truly is a reality!
I have already sold some items through Clickbank, which, by the way, is a great place for budding affiliate marketers.
What a Great Feeling it was when I saw My Check from ClickBank!! I couldn't believe I had actually made some dollars online! But it sure was real. The Bank Cashed it for me anyway, so it must have been.!!!
By joining Clickbank, you get the ability to choose from approximately 11,400 products with which to try your wings as it were, as a Affiliate Marketer.
You can even join a couple of places and get your very own ClickBank Mall.

These are superb sites for starters and really get your appetite whetted for more ways to grow your income online.
There are very many ways out there for affiliate marketers, but you MUST STAY "Focused".

That was where I lost so much time. now I have to play catch-up football, as they call it. :))

However, now I know how it's done all I need to do now is apply the lessons I've been taught so proficiently by talented people.
They too had to learn, but have graciously shared there learning with those of us who are wiling to listen and apply those lessons.

That is the way we can definitely make a living on the Internet. Many have done it before us, and many, many more will do it long after us.
In conclusion of this page, I ask that you please don't judge my writing too harshly, this is written by someone who is totally new to blogs, but who is definitely interested in any good constructive criticisms, and who is completely willing to work and learn.
Perhaps I better add, :)) I don't manage to retain large chunks of info now-a-days.
Memory has gone down the tubes a little these days, so my Grand-kids tell me. :))
